live jazz for weddings, parties, more
Rick Hirsch's chamber jazz groups have been making parties great for nearly 20 years. They perform music for wedding ceremonies; entertain at elegant cocktail parties, receptions, and dinners; and jazz up the mood at casual cookouts, block parties and picnics.
Rick's roster of musicians includes the best professional musicians in the region—and throughout Pennsylvania—all of whom work together to provide just the right setting for your event.
saxophone + piano/guitar/bass (one of these instruments)
The duos are fantastic for setting the mood without breaking the bank. Suitable for cocktail parties, dinner parties, winery events, intimate wedding receptions, and other gatherings and celebrations.
(1) saxophone, bass, and piano/guitar
(2) saxophone, bass, drums
Trio 1 is the most popular option: it’s intimate enough for a dinner hour, punchy enough for a BBQ, and can even provide music for light dancing. Adding a drummer is a great way to add some spice and enable more dancing.

Adding a drummer to Trio 1 (above) rounds out the sound of the band, but doesn't have to make it any louder.
Add a vocalist to any of these groups
One of our specialties is performing fun, creative instrumental covers of pop tunes by the likes of the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Nirvana, Van Morrison, the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, the Doors, Carol King, and others.
We're also thoroughly steeped in jazz classics of Miles Davis, Dave Brubeck, and Duke Ellington; the great tunes associated with Sinatra and Tony Bennett; and the great Latin jazz of Antonio Carlos Jobim and Tito Puente.
Here are some bootlegs from live gigs
